CAUTION! If you go to Craig’s List to find accommodations: be careful! The site is loaded with scams. Ads for properties get hacked and placed on CL and people lose thousands of dollars every season because they “booked” an unbelievable deal for their stay that does not exist.
VRBO, Airbnb and local rental agencies like porchandpebble.com or OnTheWaterin Maine are the far safer way!

Our Rockland classes are held in our beautiful studio space at Steel House South, 639 Main St. It has water views from its big windows, and water access to a small rocky beach. There is a pier and a second beach across the parking lot. Two blocks from the North end of Rockland’s shops, restaurants and stores, it’s just a short walk from several lodging places.
We share a street level deck with the Apprentice Shop. There is un-metered parking along the street, and limited parking behind the Apprentice Shop. We can help get you and your gear up the small hill from the lot to the studio, or down the steps from the deck…If you won’t have a car, we may be able to help you get your gear, and yourself from where you are staying to the Studio and then to painting sites…just let me know so I can plan!! You are welcome to leave your equipment and supplies in the Studio when you’re not there……plan to be in the Studio by 8:30 AM on the first day to get settled at your table; the door will be open by 8:15 AM!
Bringing your dog: We’re sorry to say we are no longer accommodating dogs in the classes. Old Granite Inn allows pets, as do a few other places in the area including the RiverHouse Hotel in Camden, 20 minutes away..…but you will not be able to have your dog with you while in the class. There are several local people who offer daily pet care services as well, and Harbor Hounds in Rockland, provides doggy day-care and boarding. .http://www.harborhoundsmaine.com
